In these trials, AD-3 told contestants a short story about the Star Wars universe, usually written by Cavan Scott. Although the contestants were separated from their teammates for this challenge, they still communicated through headsets as they attempted to recall the details of the story. In contrast, the Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge included the Knowledge Trials. ![]() These issues sometimes bled into the Steps of Knowledge segment. ![]() Also, it is unclear if any actual Mayans were consulted in the creation of the show. For example, Olmec, the giant statue, was named after the Olmec civilization, but he and the temple guards are meant to be Mayan, a different civilization entirely. While Legends of the Hidden Temple may have been trying to bring attention to other cultures, the show did not always handle inclusivity well.
